The story of Awakened Heart Ministries ("AHM") is the biblical story of faith and joy in a sovereign and good God, who is mysteriously moving, often slowly and silently, through human history to restore the hearts and minds of men and women back to Himself and His design for them through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

AHM began in 1998 when several men began to meet together for the purpose of understanding how God designed their masculinity to be lived out in this world for His glory. In the years that followed, God brought together more and more men whose desire was also to honor God by more fully and faithfully living out of their masculine design in today's postmodern culture.

Eventually this desire moved these men to turn their attention to their marriages, so that in 2003 weekend marriage retreats began. By 2005, the fruit God was producing in this grassroots movement was so obvious that a number of the men began to seek God together in order to know His will regarding His workings.

In August of 2008 after much prayer, AHM was founded as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with the enthusiastic support of individuals and couples whose lives and relationships had been healed and changed by the love and grace of Jesus Christ through this movement.

Since that time, God has continued to bear "much fruit" for His glory through AHM.  As a result, the ministry has not only needed to add to its staff, but in 2011, we opened a branch office in Naples, Florida, where God has in similar fashion been awakening and changing the hearts of like-minded men who have been faithfully seeking after Him.
